Halloween costumes inspired by cartoon characters are also best sellers due to the popularity bestowed upon them by television. The mass media is also greatly responsible for the increasing number of people who wish to dress up in the same way the Hollywood stars dress up to fit their roles in the popular movies. Women’s costumes now imitate Liv Tyler as Arwen or Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft while the guys dress-up like Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne or Tom Cruise and Stuart Townsend as Lestat de Lioncourt now that everyone knows how they’re supposed to look and the clothes and accessories could easily be found in discount costume shops.
